Meet the Team!

Meet the people behind the magic.

Dedicated to promoting and running the Cloud City Wheelers, this group of people dedicates chunks of their time to grow and preserve the cycling community in Leadville and Lake County.

Meet Our Board and Staff

Sterling Mudge - Executive Director

Having moved around while I was younger I wanted to stay in one spot. After 20+ years here in Leadville, I hope to keep it a place where my kids want to stay. I like bikes and I like trails. Seeing people have fun on trails that our community has made is the best feeling. Find your flow and find it often.

Emma Mims - Director of Awesome

Growing up with my parents and family friends making up a huge part of the Wheelers, I always knew I wanted to become more involved as well. I am a student at the University of Denver and artist who finds passion in helping others experience Leadville’s great outdoors. I love making Leadville a community and contributing to the Wheelers’ goal of promoting cycling and trailbuilding in Lake County.

Heather Lindh - President

A Colorado native, living in Leadville for more than 20 years now, I am absolutely in LOVE with Leadville and raising my kids in such a great community. We are so fortunate to get to live, work and play in this magical mountain paradise. I’ve owned and operated a local real estate company for 18 years and I am super passionate and devoted to keeping Leadville awesome in my spare time.

Justin Ernst - Vice President

I enjoy riding bikes slow and drinking beer fast. I dislike anyone that types in all caps. Human powered adventure in wild places makes me happy... really happy... like the kind of happy where my insides feel funny, my cheeks hurt from smiling so hard, and my eyeballs start to sweat. I hope my service to the Wheeler's results in more people experiencing this feeling.

Doug Yeakel - Secretary

For me, the bicycle has opened doors of experience, travel, knowledge, and more. Pair Leadville with the bike and you have a recipe for forever growth. Cloud City Wheelers will open “bicycle doors" for our local citizens and visitors from around the world. I’m honored to be a part of that!

Craig Gooch - Treasurer

I love experiencing the outdoors year-round, riding trails, skiing, hiking, and hanging out with donkeys. My wife Terri and I have been enjoying Leadville and the high country for over 15 years. Serving as a Cloud City Wheelers board member provides me with the opportunity to contribute to improving Lake County trails and exposing others to the outdoor experiences that influenced me in making Leadville home. I enjoy meeting new people and working on challenging issues.

Lisa Sandoval - Board Member

I'm a Colorado native and moved to Leadville in 2001.  I was introduced to riding and racing bikes about 10 years ago, and my life will never be the same!  I have immense gratitude for all the work that has been done to make our trails in Lake County some of the absolute BEST.  It is my honor to serve on the board and help support our wonderful cycling community.

Jason Konigsberg - Board Member

Skiing powder and riding alpine singletrack are my passions. I've been lucky enough to get paid to do both at some point in my last 25 years living in the western U.S. I love Leadville for the long winters and cool summers. As a Wheelers board member, I’m excited to contribute to the expansion of our trail system in Lake County with the dream of developing some epic alpine singletrack close to home.

Brandon Snider - Board Member

Cycling has changed my life and helped me find myself and a place in Leadville, the beautiful small town I grew up in. In recent years, I’ve been inspired to get more involved with both the Cloud City Wheelers and the community. My wife and I have called Leadville 'home' for over 25 years, and it is a great honor to help the community prosper in recreational opportunities.

Connor Gray - Trails Committee Chairperson

I’m very excited for the opportunity to give back to the organization that planned and built the trails I enjoy so often. Growing up in Montana, I was lucky to live across the road from an expansive singletrack trail system that fostered my love for dirt and two wheels from a young age. I was drawn to Leadville by its great sense of community and abundant outdoor opportunities, and I’m happy to have called this town home for almost two years now.
