Our Trails

Leadville & Lake County has incredible terrain that allows us to build trails for everyone to enjoy. We are proud to have something for everyone whether you’re new to biking, a pro, a trail runner, or a dog walker we’ve got something for you. Check out the map below for trail recommendations.

CCW Trail Systems

  • Timberline Trails: These trails are located behind Colorado Mountain College. We’ve built these to cater to all kinds of riders whether you are a beginner or expert. These trails are perfect for designing your own ride as well. You can go out for a test ride for ten minutes or go play for three hours. These trails are enjoyed year round and play host to some of the state’s best groomed singletrack.

  • Turquoise Lake Trails: This is our newest trail system. Located on the shoreline of Turquoise Lake, we’ve built eight miles of SWEET riding to compliment the existing Turquoise Lake Trail! These are perfect for all ages. What’re you waiting for?!

Wanna Play?

We are currently working on a large fundraising effort for a new bike park. This park will be located next to our amazing Huck Finn Skate Park. Get your shred on here.

Paved Trails

Looking for paved trails to ride? Leadville’s Mineral Belt Trail is a gorgeous paved trail stretching 11.6 miles around Historic Leadville. With gradual inclines and descents, this is a great trail for all riders. The Mineral Belt trail is also groomed in the winter time, respect the grooming and ride on the opposite side of the classic ski track.

Fat Biking!

We LOVE our fat biking community. We try to groom as many trails for our fat bikers as much as we can in the Winter. For the most recent updates on grooming, check out our social media or check out our grooming reports above to find trails to ride. We also have a Winter Bike Series exclusively for you fat bikers! Get out there and have fun this Winter!

2024 Trail Grooming is proudly supported by Sawatch Outliers

New Trails?!

Are we building new trails? You know we are and we can’t wait to get out and ride with you! Check here for new trail updates.

Respect the Trails.

We want everyone to have a blast on our trails. However, in order for our trails to stay perfect and prime and for our trail builders to stay sane, we need to respect the trails and trail conditions. In between all the weather we get here, our trails will get muddy sometimes. When trails are muddy, please do not ride them! Not only do they dig up and ruin our trails, but the mud can cause serious damage to your bike. Leadville has lots of other outdoor activities to experience when trail conditions are not optimal. Usually, we have snow during these conditions so go ski, snowboard, snowshoe, or go for a run. Let’s respect our trails and all the work that is put into them.
